    hi.

    a strange issue has come up : with the last update of Jetpack (Version 13.1.4) the mails that are sent to subscribed readers include the entirety of the just published article, instead of the abstract i wrote and link to read the whole article, as before, which is the desired behavior.

    nothing has changed in my settings –?no plug-in added or removed, version of WP, etc.

    do you have any idea what’s at stake ?

    Hi there,

    We’ve made an important update to address confusion about what controls the format of your email newsletters. Previously, the RSS feed setting was unexpectedly influencing email content, which wasn’t clear to many users.

    We’ve now separated these settings, giving you direct control over your email newsletter content. If you previously used the RSS setting to control your email format, you’ll need to update your email newsletter settings.

    Please check the settings under?Jetpack → Settings → Newsletter?in your WP Admin. Ensure that the?For each new post email, include?setting is set to?Excerpt?instead of?Full text. This should resolve the issue of sending the entire article instead of the abstract.

    If the settings are correct and the issue persists, please reply to this thread with more details.

    thanks for the help.

    i had a previous version of Jetpack that had switched to full article in mail, but the settings hadn’t been upgraded yet. my using an older version of WP the plug-in update was not proposed.

    to follow your instructions i updated WP and then Jetpack and now i see all the new settings, which are a real progress. being able to select categories, among them, seems very interesting.
