newsletter plugin – subscribe button as graphic?

Hi, in the ‘Newsletter Form’ section and the ‘Main profile fields’there is the option for the ‘subscribe now’ button to be a graphic instead.

The text says … For “subscribe” insert an URL to an image (https://…) to use it as a graphical button.

I have tried every variation of html that i can think of but can not get a graphic button to show up in place of the text. All that happens is the html shows up as text.

Does anyone know the answer or have a solution?
