Hi,

I have found out from my readers that my sign up procedure does not work. After adding an email address, checking the bow, and pushing go, an error message comes up ?? Saying they have to contact admin.

I have tried now myself with several email addresses and the same thing occurs. This explains why my email list has stopped growing :-/ What could have gone wrong? What can I do?

To clarify, this email subscription bow was integrated in the demo I got with your theme. So it was all set up from your end. All I did was to add a mail chimp key. And it worked just fine until probably a few weeks/months ago.

Hi,

That’s quite odd, especially since we have updated their API. We are working on it to finding the exact cause of the issue.

In the meantime, I would suggest you use the default Mailchimp plugin until we investigate the issue.

Any news on this? I have quite a few people now telling about this issue since they are trying to sign up :-/ And it’s been quite a long time now..

Hi,

Sorry, I can understand your concern but the issue is still not resolved and I don’t have an ETA.

In the meantime, please use the default Mailchimp plugin until we investigate the issue. In this way, you will not lose your subscribers.

Ok I suppose I have to download the mailchimp plugin then. But how exactly do I get it to work with your widget that is already there? I would love a step by step guide on how to do this.

Hi,

Please try to install the default plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

and Create a subscription form using the default Mailchimp plugin instead of the integrated API. Following the doc will help you creating the subscribe form: https://wpforms.com/how-to-create-a-mailchimp-subscribe-form-in-wordpress/

Hi again,

I prefer to have as few plugins as possible. And I have removed the WPforms plugin. So for this, I would have to install two plugins. You don’t think this will be solved soon? It has been over two months..

Please update the theme and Ocean extra plugin to the latest version to fix the issue.
