Newsletter subscription list and managment plugin.

  • I have created a website for the family of 3 abducted children. It has come together pretty well and I am pleased with the capabilities of WordPress. So that you will have a better understanding of what I am after the link to the site is https://findthesilahchildren.com

    I would like to be able to mail out a newsletter with updates on events and progress to people that would like to subscribe to a newsletter.
    I found something I thought would work but on reviewing the Forum for the product and E-mailing the support address with no reply, I held back from purchasing it. It appears that there are issues that are not getting resolved with the software.
    So that brings me back to why I am posting here. Does anyone have a successful setup that allows what I am after installed in WordPress and will it work with the version I have?

  • Subscribe2 is usually used for sending out email to subscribers when a new post is added to your site, but it does offer the facility to email your subscribers separately.

    An alternative might be MailPress, which is also meant to be used for sending out newsletters.

    Both are free.

    @limey: You’re welcome. Hope one of these plugins will suit you. If not, it’s probably worth searching the plugins directory again (although using tags usually gives better results)
