    Hi,

is is possible to block newsletter2go Content before the user accepts?

We are using a newsletter2go Plugin Widget to add a form to our site within the footer.

I’ve tried to block all URLs from a newsletter2go integration on the site, but if i do so, even when accepting, the widget will not show. As soon as i deactivate the blocker in “integrations” it reappears…

I am using the script, iframe oder plugin Blocker: adding a name, adding all 4 URLS which are being loaded, opt for “Marketing”, activate Placeholder (which is there, but clicking on it shows nothing). Now i’ve tried both options: “Blocked content is an iframe” on and off (while adding class identifier), and also tried the dependencie option, but none of them shows the widget anymore.

    thank you,

    best regards

    Hello Beatcore,

Thank you for your message. I’d kindly ask you to share the affected domain so that we could potentially investigate the issue and your script blockings more profoundly and provide you with more precise support.

In general I would recommend you to carefully read point #3 from this guide in order to add the Newsletter2go script to our plugin’s script center to have it prior-blocked correctly: https://complianz.io/integrating-plugins/

    I hope this helps!

    It’s this URL: meierszweisinn de

Newsletter Widget is in the footer on the left side.

I think my coding skills are too bad to get along with integrating scripts like this, so i thought it is possible by picking the URLs and blocking them…

    Hi @beatcore,

While I don’t have the exact script to test the implementation for myself, based on what I see on your website you can try the following set-up under Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> “Block a script, iframe or plugin”.

Make sure to Save, and then Enable your new integration with the slider in the top right corner.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi Jarno,

i’ve tried this, but it has no effect. I can see the placeholder, but when i click it, nothing happens. Also if i accept all cookies, the newsletter form is not being loaded ??

    regards

    Hi @beatcore,

Hmm, in that case the script is correctly blocked and the placeholder is also added by Complianz. But perhaps the issue occurs because the newsletter script performs the insertion of the form on a specific event, which has already ran by the time Complianz unblocks the script. I’m afraid I can’t really change that from our end.

You could try it without blocking the script in the Script Center, and wrap the content in a Consent Area shortcode; to check if that works better (https://complianz.io/wrapping-content-in-consent-shortcodes/). But it could very well result in the same behavior as you mentioned.

Consider checking the Newsletter2Go documentation, or consult the developer of the Newsletter2go tool; to see how they recommend obtaining consent for the tool.

    Kind regards, Jarno
