When using the Modern Tribe Events Calendar, on “Upcoming Events”, clicking the “Next Events” link only results in the wait gif appearing.

This also occurs with any of our category lists.

We can find each event if we are on a specific event and click on the next event.

This issue occurs for list, day calendar, or month calendar view.

I thought it might be due to a recently added plugin, but deleted the plugin and reseting the cache has no effect.

I’m suspecting this is somehow related to the 12/20 maintenance update.

  • Same issue for us, but only on day and list views.

    Hi @tlasuk,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! I’m happy to help troubleshoot this with you to see what’s happening.

Just to be sure, can you confirm that you’ve run a full round of conflict testing using the steps outlined in this article? Completing this range of tests will allow us to determine if there is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

Let’s start there and see what we find!

    Thanks,
    Caroline

How about telling me how to roll back your last update since there was no problem until then?

These seem to be pretty drastic tests – especially since our theme is quite different from the default theme. Also we have been using Events with all the plugins installed except the ones I rolled back and/or disabled since the 20th – when you did your last update. Disabling the plugins that have changed since your last update did not have any effect – I did clear the cache and close and restart the browser.

Disabled theme and plugins – including Events and reactivated theme and all plug ins – including Events and now Next Event is working.

None of the plugins seem to be in conflict – so I suspect reactivating Events after update seems to be the fix.

Found that when I clicked on a “see all four events” on the calendar and looked at a Day view, the hanging Next Event issue came roaring back.

Cleared the cache and restarted the browser and the hanging stopped.

I noticed the other person with this issue also mentioned the Day view.

Using Firefox on Mac. Clearing the browser cache did not work.

Deactivating and reactivating plugins did not work. You can see our issue here: https://www.stadia.cc/events/list/. Same issue when moving day to day, but not month to month. The next/previous links fail to do anything.

@davidlimiero: Thanks for providing a link to your site for us to review! It appears that some external process is hijacking clicks to the navigation portion of your calendar, which may be related to a number of jQuery errors in your console. I’d suggest changing your theme temporarily to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Seventeen or Twenty Sixteen and testing your navigation links again–if this switch corrects the problem, I’d then look to correcting the jQuery issues in your current theme. Should this fail to address the problem, please open a new thread here, and we’ll be glad to continue correspondence with you there.

@tlasuk: Thanks so much for following up with the results of your testing here! We will be pushing a plugin update shortly that includes a number of across-the-board optimizations and bug fixes–hopefully your issues are resolved by now, but should you experience another recurrence, I’d see if this update is able to correct any lingering problems! If you should need to downgrade your plugin version at any point in the future, this Knowledgebase article will walk you through the steps to do just that.

Thanks, and let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with!

    Best,
    Caroline
