    Hi there,

The Gallery was working fine until recently when I saw that the layout is broken as if there is no css attached. There is definitely an interference with WordPress. At first I thought it was with some plugins, but even as I completely remove all plugins it still does not work.

If I apply the Gallery’s css as custom css the layout works. Somehow the plugin cannot access its styling files.

Please any solutions to this (there seem to be no one with this specific issue in the forum).

    Filip

@phegio – Are you seeing this issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme as well?

    Thanks!

Yes, I have activated both “Twenty Fifteen & Twenty Fourteen” themes and tested with other themes, the Gallery layout is still broken.

@phegio – Can you provide the URL to the page/post where you have inserted the NextGEN Gallery display so we can have a first-hand look at what you are seeing?

    Thanks!

    Sure Cais,

    The Gallery is here: https://packsafari.com/accoimages/accommodation/

I have temporary applied the styling with custom styles, I will remove that for now.

Thank you again for contnuose help in this.

    Regards

@phegio – Have you tried using just a WordPress Twenty series theme and only having NextGEN Gallery active?

I’m not seeing any errors pointing to scripts of CSS not being found although I do agree they appear to not be used (including possibly some of your current theme’s styles).

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

Yes I have tried deactivating all plugs and using WordPress Twenty series theme.
New Discovery! For some reason I cannot even Deactivate the Gallery from the WordPress-Backend anymore. The “Deactivate” link just does not do anything, but the “OptIn” and “Edit” links next to it works and I can Deactivate other plugins just fine.

I have gone as far as deleting the plugin folder, deleting Gallery Database tables and re-installing the plugin (it install fine but does not create new Database tables).

    I’m out of options.

@phegio – You might look at doing a restore to get back to a time when you had not touched the database as this may have added to the problems at hand; or, you may have missed important parts in the database that may need to be addressed.

The following process will generally work but we recommend you have a complete fully verified back-up of your site just in case you run into any problems:

Use FTP to remove NextGEN Gallery related folders.
Then use something like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpdbspringclean/ to delete all the ngg tables.
Then use something like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/database-peek/ to search through the remaining tables for NGG references.
Then use something like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/edit-any-table/ to delete all of these database entries.

    Tables typically involved: wp_ngg_*, wp_options, wp_postmeta, and wp_usermeta

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
