    I wondered if their was anything out there or some technique to make the gallery load a little quicker? I know there is a plugin called Next Generation Gallery Optimizer, which prevents NextGEN’s scripts & css from loading on pages/posts without galleries. However, this was last updated Jan 2013, and compatible up to WordPress 3.5.2.

    Sorry, that should be make my website load a little quicker..as it is slowing all WordPress pages regardless of whether there is a gallery on the loading page..

    @will Raj – Our next major release of NextGEN Gallery is primarily focused on performance related issues. One of those concerns is scripts and CSS loading when no gallery is present … this has been addressed.

    It will still likely be a few weeks away before the stable release is ready but it is coming.
