• I inserted a Query and Post Template block along with a Pagination block including “Previous” and “Next” page buttons at the bottom of my home page, which displays my newest blog articles. When I click on “Next Page” to view older articles, the page reloads with the new set of blog posts, but scrolls to the top of my home page, which means you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to view the next set of blog articles.

I’m assuming there is an easy fix as this seems like a real inconvenience to a visitor to the site, but so far I have only been able to find code that didn’t work. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Kenny

  • This is difficult to reproduce without a link to the page?

Here is a link to the page that has a query loop block towards the bottom prior to the footer. The older posts load properly when you select the next page, but as you’ll see you will be brought to the top of the page after clicking and then have to scroll back down to the blog articles to see the reloaded older articles: https://staging.laketahoeweddings.net/

Ah, I see. What you are looking for is still an open issue with the Gutenberg team and therefore not yet available: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/50137

I am not currently aware of any other solution, although there may well be plugins that extend the query loop block in this respect. Alternatively, this could possibly only be solved with an in-house development.

Thanks for the response. I saw other posts that were several years old from those experiencing the same problem, so I thought there may have been a resolve by now. You saved me a lot of time from searching. Thanks again.
