Next quote no longer works

Can you provide the exact short-code and/or widget settings you are using and if your theme is free, perhaps the link to that too?

If you are able to, it would good to verify that you have this file (quotes-llama-image-center.css) in the css folder of the plugin? There should be 13 .css files in that folder.

The 2.1.2 update addressed the dead code of which it loaded all the JavaScript and all the CSS anywhere the plugin was used. 2.1.2 now only loads what is used. It avoids the overhead and lets users who don’t want the JavaScript to use the plugin.

It seems there is a conflict preventing late enqueuing, which is where the JavaScript and page specific CSS are loaded. I just don’t know with what yet. Testing so far I’ve not been able to reproduce the result.

The shortcode is [quotes-llama cat=’en’] – I’m not using any widgets there. It worked before, without issues.

Can confirm, the file is there and there’s 13 css files in total.

I also, after update 2.1.2, the next quote feature stopped working. And the plugin conflicts with the WP-PostRatings plugin, your plugin breaks its admin panel. But that was in the previous version as well.

Unfortunately, the next button is still broken (jumped a line up and function does not work) tried deactivating and reactivating it.

I wonder if other short-codes like the gallery, auto modes or widget produce the same result? I am wondering if it’s just associated with the next quote links. So far I have not been able to reproduce the problem. It works for some but not others. Thanks.

Interesting, so the shortcode for “quotes-llama all” seems to work. The next button on “[quotes-llama cat=’category’]” works, but shows no quote/category. “[quotes-llama mode=’auto’ cat=’category’]” show nothing at all.

Thank you for checking that! It helped a ton in finding where I missed the JavaScript enqueue! I have committed 2.1.4. When you can test it please let me know how it works out?

When using categories, be sure to have some categories assigned to quotes and then use that category name in the short-code… for example: [quotes-llama cat=’cars, toys, etc’]
