next_posts_link and previous_posts_link not working on category view

I’m having the same issue…did you ever get this resolved? My site’s in production now, so I can’t change the permalink structure to resolve the issue…

Hi there, I was having the same issue as well! Here is the solution:

My permalink structure is set up as:
/%category%/%postname%/

In my archive.php, I have the code:
<?php next_posts_link(‘« Previous Entries’) ?>
<?php previous_posts_link(‘Next Entries »’) ?>

But when I’m on my category page, for example:
https://www.blahblah.com/in-the-news/

The paging doesn’t work:
https://www.blahblah.com/in-the-news/page/2/ –> returns a 404

I found the following plugin:
