Nexted filtering

  • Is it possible to have nested filtering options? For example: on the main page I would like to make schools, places of worship, shopping. Once schools is selected I’d like to filter elementary, middle, high school, college, etc.

    Is this option possible? I am hoping to do this as I have a bunch of different categories and listing all of them simultaneously makes it look to busy.

    Our plugins support multi-layer-map which means you can combine several layers into one multi-layer-map (apples, bananas, oranges combined to a multi-layer-map fruits). Maps Marker Pro also allows you to toggle the visibility of the markers from those sublayers (= filtering). See an example at https://demo.mapsmarker.com

    Anyway nested multi-layer-maps are not supported though (= nesting multi-layer-maps in other multi-layer-maps).

    Thank you for the quick response. Just to confirm I understand. I could filter by fruit but I can’t filter by fruit and then by apples. Is that correct?

    Basically yes – see the multi-layer-map at https://demo.mapsmarker.com for an example: the map you are seeing is the multi-layer-map, it consists of sublayers called schools, hospitals, restaurants and bus stops
