NextGEN 4.0 fatal error, took down blog
-
NextGen showed it had a new update available (4.0), so I updated it and down went my blog! Had to inactivate my plugins through phpMyAdmin, and then, with no plugins at all active, tried only activating NextGen. It can’t even activate now (same fatal error) but at least this time didn’t disable my blog altogether.
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. (Got that when I tried to re-activate it. When I installed the update to 4.0, there were NO error messages!)
This is the error given when I tried to re-activate the plugin. It is the same error received on the front page of my blog after updating to 4.0.
Warning: require_once(/my directories/plugins/nextgen-facebook/lib/debug.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /my directories/plugins/nextgen-facebook/nextgen-facebook.php on line 306
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/my directories/plugins/nextgen-facebook/lib/debug.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /my directories/plugins/nextgen-facebook/nextgen-facebook.php on line 306
I’d really like to be able to continue using NextGen. It’s one of my favorite plugins for the particular blog I’m using it on.
