NextGen admin page layout broken

I have installed the latest version of nextgen gallery plugin. Its great but the admin pages are not displaying correctly. the main wordpress admin menus are floating over the nextgen admin page. This makes it difficult to see some of the options for the nextgen menu. I can minimise wordpress’s menus so I can actaully work with nextgen gallery but this is not the best way to solve this issue. is anybody else having the same issues and if so is this fixable.
