Hi, after going mad trying to track down a problem which meant my BuddyPress user profile page was loading up everything except the page it is meant to, I’ve found a compatibility issues between BuddyPress and NextGen gallery. It’s been mentioned a few times online now I’ve searched but I can’t really find a solution for it, can you advise please?

  • Hi @swan1305,

    Please, try the following:
1- Changed the permalinks to ” Post name”.
2- Use an option in Tools > BuddyPress to repair everything.

Please, let us know if that solved your problem.
If the problem persists we might need to troubleshoot.

    Thanks but that didn’t work.

I’ve found a compatibility issues between BuddyPress and NextGen gallery.

Could you please explain the procedure followed, in order to not start suggesting things you already tried.

It is normal to deactivate all plugins except the suspected conflicting ones, in this case BuddyPress and Nextegn Gallery to confirm the conflict. If you haven’t tried, you can give that a try.

Yes I have done that and confirmed the issue. It seems it’s been around for quite sometime so I’m surprised it hasn’t been sorted before now honestly.

    Apologies @swan1305,

We only have one ticket back in our ticket system linked with “BuddyPress”.
Nevertheless, after that final interaction (the fix that I shared with you), the user stopped contacting us.

You can, of course, contact the “BuddyPress” team to check if they have other reports or any possible solutions (Is your BuddyPress version updated?)

If the problem persists, we would like to take a look.
We might ask you to create a bug report.
    We are happy to help!

I am having this same issue. I am seeing that this is a very old issue. Has there ever been a fix made for this? The only page I seem to be having a issue with is the buddypress profile edit page. For some odd reason when I have this plugin activated the Profile Edit for buddypress takes me to groups page instead of editing the users profile.

To be honest once I’d seen how long this has been going on for and how many people have asked the same thing over and over again and got nowhere, I stopped using NextGen and went for another gallery option. I think most people ended up doing the same sadly.
