I’ve been having severe speed issues with my site and recently moved up to a VPS (which I have optimized and tested and is very fast with another site on the same server)

My photography website on the other hand is horribly slow. I’ve introduced cloudflare, I have varnish running on the server and recently, as I understand it, Photon works with NextGen.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found much information on configuration and after checking to see if photon was activated on my blog (it is) I went to see if my images were being served from a cdn to users. The short story is they aren’t. They are still being served from my domain and my server.

any idea why? I’ve enabled photon, I’ve removed and re uploaded images, thinking maybe it was part of the upload process. No luck.

    Thanks

    Rob

@rwslippey – NextGEN Gallery serves its images from the filesystem where the plugin is installed. We do not have a solution for the use of CDN services at this time. Although some caching systems will also help improve load performance generally the best optimizations will be with the images themselves to start with.

    Thanks!
