Nextgen and Yuzo related post

@samlawry – Have you checked with the author’s of the other software to see if they have any insights into why NextGEN Gallery images are not being seen by their respective works?

Not yet, but I have this issue with many plugins and RSS with Nexgen.
I am not sure that was a good idea to accept a proprietary shortcode on my website …. :/

@samlawry – Hmm … do you have the same issues if you only have NextGEN Gallery alone active on your site … with a default WordPress Twenty series theme temporarily active?

I tried with the WordPress Twenty ten & Twenty 14, it doesn’t work with the related post plugins :

– Yuzo
– Yet Another Related Post plugin
– WordPress Related Posts

But it works with :
– Related Posts for WordPress (but I don’t want to use it)

@samlawry – Some related posts plugins have specific settings that will break NextGEN Gallery … I would suggest looking to see if that is the case here.

Ok I tried several Related Posts plugins and non were working with nextgen.

Do you know a “Related Post” plugin that will show my Nextgen Thumbnails in my blog ?

@samlawry – The only one I have looked at (and that was quite some time ago) was the “YARPP” with default installation settings in effect. Most “related post” plugins work from an excerpt of the post, that being the case, you would not see the NextGEN Gallery thumbnails as they are not parsed in the_excerpt function.
