After updating 3 different websites to WordPress 3.9 I found that a few other plugins were not working correctly anymore. WP Google Maps and Gravity Forms for starters, but anything using jquery or ajax seems to have problems running correctly. After a bit of debugging and turning plugins on/off I found that disabling NextGen solved the problem.I have updated all the plugins including NextGen to the most current versions. This is not a theme issue as it is happening on three different themes. I need to get this fixed because the only way I can edit the other plugins is by turning off NextGen. It is mainly in the admin area of WP that causes issues.

  • Pages and Posts pages in Dashboard are blank for me too. Disabling NextGen restores complete Dashboard functionality.

    This needs to be fixed.

@christian34 – A manual update via FTP does not require deleting the existing plugin’s files and folders, simply over-write them. You might consider deactivating the plugin while you upload the latest release.

@asig – Since the solution for the OP was resolved as a Memory issue and that solution did not work for you then I would suggest it is a different problem and you should create your own topic.

@cnymike – The issue you are describing is also not the same as the OP, please start your own topic to address your issue(s) … this is almost always the best way.

    Thanks!

    Photocrati,
This topic is primarily for most us related to loosing the visual editor when NextGen galler is activated in WP 3.9. I don’t see a need to start another topic, this one has the right focus.

Are there any solutions for this, or will you provide an update soon that will fix this issue?

@asig – The OP responded with the folliowing:

I found that it was a memory issue. I had 32mb set in php for memory and it wasn’t enough after the update. I bumped it up to 64 and everything works fine.

… and thus his issue was “resolved”. Following the forum rules here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post … would point to others not experiencing the same issue to create their own topic.

Using a “generic” topic as a free-for-all place to post additional issues is not going to be beneficial to the original issue or to others as their concerns may get lost among the masses.

This is why it is always suggested to follow the forum rules and create a new topic if you are having issues with a plugin, etc.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
