NextGEN Galler – I didn’t get the Highslide or Lightbox effect working

According to the NextGEN FAQ:

3. I didn’t get the Highslide or Lightbox effect working…

NextGEN Gallery supports only Shutter and Thickbox as full integrated effect. All other effects are possible but you need to add them manually. You can use other plugins to add the effect. Highslide JS plugin or Lightbox JS Plugin

First installed Lightbox 2 – doesn’t work. Then Highslide – this same result. Went over the forum and found that ppl have this same problem but no solution how to get Lightbox2/Highslide to work with NextGEN Gallery :\
