    Hi
When inserting a NextGen Gallery into a page (Row/Visual Editor Widget/Add Gallery) the gallery no longer shows up on the front end. All that is seen are the words:
    NextGEN Gallery
    Edit
    Delete
All existing galleries are working fine.
However, if I try to add a second gallery to a widget which already has a gallery then the original gallery is replaced by the above words on the front end as well. If I then delete the second gallery the original gallery still just displays the words.
It may of course be a NextGen problem.
Hope you have time to look at this for me.

    Hi Lawrie

I ran a quick test now with a basic gallery inserted via the Editor widget using the NextGen insert gallery button and it seems ok. Can you perhaps check if the issue persists with all plugins deactivated except for those authored by NextGen and SiteOrigin?

    Hi Andrew
    Did as you suggested.
With all non Siteorigin and NextGen plugins disabled the gallery worked.
Reactivated each plugin in turn and found it was the Yoast plugin which caused the problem. Why is it always the last one that’s tried?
Should I contact Yoast about this?

The final step would be to test with Yoast, SiteOrigin plugins, and NextGen to confirm.

    Yep.
I had to leave TinyMCE Advanced and Black Studio TinyMCE Widget activated otherwise the page didn’t display but the problem was still there with all other plugins deactivated.
I then activated all plugins except Yoast and everything worked. On activating Yoast the problem reoccurred.

Is there a JavaScript error on the page, the writing will be in red if so? If there is please screenshot and upload to imgur.com or similar and send us the link.

If Yoast is deactivated the NextGen Gallery can be added. Yoast can then be reactivated with no problem. It seems that the Yoast plugin just has a problem with inserting a new gallery.

I have not seen any red writing.

Sorry, I didn’t check out the information on the forum. I’ll have a look tomorrow.

Thanks for the testing and updates. If possible, please, could you try the same test outside of Page Builder in the Classic or Block Editor to see if the results are the same. That should be helpful information.

Not sure exactly what you mean but I created a new page using the Visual Editor (not text or page builder)
The result was the same with Yoast activated.

Thanks. The final step would be to test that same page with Yoast and Nextgen and no other plugins activated as well as a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. If the issue persists in that configuration, it’s something you could ask NextGen about.

Andrew thank you but the NextGen support apparently know of this issue and are working towards finding a fix so that seems the best option to pursue at the moment.
Thank you as always for your prompt and exceedingly useful help.

Thanks for the update and your kind words. I’m really glad to hear the issue is known and being worked on. Cheers ??

    Hi,
    @lawriem1

I have the same issue as you since 4 days. I edit my pages with WPBakery Page Builder 6.2. By creating a new page and then updating a page which correctly displayed galleries created with NextGen, the photographs are no longer displayed, only the text

    “NextGEN Gallery
    Edit
    Delete “

    appears.
Have you had any feedback from NextGen on this issue. Is a solution proposed?
Would you have a link to the NextGen support page that addresses this issue?

    Best Regards

    Eric

    Hi @eduboismagesencours
There is a conflict with the Yoast plugin.
Nextgen is working on a fix.
As a workaround you can deactivate Yoast, create your new gallery and then reactivate Yoast.
