NextGen Gallery 1.5.3 Thumbs too far away from text above

    Howdy ??
    I write a text and then want to add a gallery under the text. When I do so with NextGen Gallery and the following style:
    “/* CSS Name: Default Styles Description: NextGEN Default Gallery Stylesheet
    Author: Alex Rabe Version: 1.50”

    then the thumbnails of the Gallery appear at least 6cm under the last text, that would be

    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    here!?!?

    I hope somebody can help me with this problem! The solution would be:
    If this is my text, the thumbnails should start

    here!

    P.S.: Please do NOT suggest to update WP or NG first because I am a beginner and did not create the site I′m dealing with – I just have to fill it with some content – so hopefully you have a suggestion without creating totally new sites ?? Thanks!

    @erzsebeth – The first priority should be to update no matter the issue at hand as not doing so leaves the web site quite open to various hacks; and, we no longer provide support for NextGEN Legacy installations, especially those as old as this referenced release version.
