NextGEN Gallery 2.0.40 error when Gallery Settings is clicked
-
I am making one last ditch effort to stay with NextGEN, why I am not sure. But at every turn there is a different problem. I have abandoned using Shadowbox JS, it is uninstalled. I have updated NGG to its latest version from the plugins page. It seemed to work but when I clicked on “Gallery Settings” on the dashboard menu I received the following error:
PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\keptlight.com\httpdocs\klblog\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_basic_album\templates\nextgen_basic_album_gallery_display_type.php on line 14
PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\keptlight.com\httpdocs\klblog\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_basic_album\templates\nextgen_basic_album_gallery_display_type.php on line 14Since then, I have done the following with no correction in behavior:
1. Deactivated NGG
2. Via FTP, I deleted NGG folder from plugins
3. Downloaded and unzipped the latest version
4. Via FTP I uploaded the plugin to the plugins folder
5. Returned to the plugins page, refreshed to see the latest version of NGG
6. Activated the plugin
7. Clicked on Gallery Settings and the same error emergedI have been a WordPress and NGG user for a long time, I have not spent this much time trying to fix any plugin or WP version. This is not a good omen, but I have close to 300 galleries with close to 5,000 photographs in them making migration to another plugin a little painful. But, there is a substitute and it does work, albeit with a different kind of problem of its own of piling all the image files into the year/month/date folders. For imports it is almost a deal breaker, but it is still on my radar.
