    A few weeks ago, all of a sudden, NextGen Gallery wasn′t available on my webdsite any more. I thought it would come back after the next WordPress update, but it hasn′t.
    Then I try to download it again, but a message shows up that the installation failed and that the target folder already exists:
    /storage/content/99/152199/helensjoholm.nu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/
    But among my extensions, NextGEN Gallery isn′t displayed. How do I access it?
    I′ve uploaded hundreds of photos via NextGEN gallery and sorted them into folders. I′m terrified to lose them and want to continue use the extension!

    Hello @drossy,

    Our recommendation is for you to create a full website backup first, and then try to check your Site’s folders. Perhaps the folder of the plugin is there and you need to remove it manually.

    Thank you very much for your information! But what will happend with all my photos, already uploaded and saved in my NextGEN Galley folders, when the plugin still was intact? Will they disappeare, or what will happen to them when I remove your plugin’s folder?

    Apologies for the late response.
    If you are to remove our plugin manually, it shouldn’t remove your photos or gallery information. But we always recommend creating a full website backup.

    You can also refresh the plugin files. Now WordPress offers that option without the need to remove the plugin manually.
