Nextgen Gallery and Media library

Hi, I wonder if there is a possibilty of importing images from the media library to the nextgen gallery. I only found older posts on this query, so maybe it is possible in the meantime? with some plugin?
As it is, i can only upload images from my computer – and the images either go to wp-content/gallery (for the nextgen gallery) or to wp-content/uploads (for the media library). Any suggestions? thanks a lot..
