NextGen Gallery descriptions won’t update

I created my first NextGen Gallery yesterday and started by putting in a test description on an image to make sure the description would show up. Once I verified that the descriptions do show up, I went back in and edited the descriptions on every image (and added the titles to the descriptions when I realized the titles don’t show up). The problem is that the descriptions will not update. On the back end, I see the updated descriptions but when I visit the site the descriptions have not changed.

I have tried clearing the cache on my browser, clearing the images cache within NextGEN Gallery, and clearing the cache on WordPress using a plugin. I have tried deleting an image from the gallery and re-adding it. Nothing makes the descriptions change.

Interestingly, when I delete a description and leave the box blank, it updates on the site and it is blank within the lightbox. But when I put something back in the description – anything at all – the original description, not the updated description, shows back up.

Please help! This is my first experience with NextGEN Gallery and so far it has caused me more trouble than it is worth. If I can’t get this fixed soon, I’m finding a new plugin.
