• I can’t upload any photos with Nextgen Gallery (website is https://www.poppypants.com).
    I keep getting this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/poppypan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gold_cart_plugin/merchants/authorize.php on line 133.

The image is small (not over 100kb)
Why do I get an error pointing to the Gold Cart plugin, when I try to upload an image with Nextgen Gallery?

My host (Crazy Domains in Australia) told me to add 256M to the php.ini file in the merchants directory.
That didn’t help. Instead I got a line on the top left hand corner saying Memory Limit = 256M.
When I removed the php.ini file, this text fortunately disappeared again.
    In the root, there’s a php.ini file, saying 256M.

Crazy Domains doesn’t seem to have a solution…yet anyway.
4th day now with this problem ??

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Problem solved.
Instead of uploading by choosing Upload Images, I chose Import image folder and this worked.

I had similar problem. I down-sampled my images to 1400 pixels max width, and that seemed to work fine.

The images were already much smaller than 1400 pixels (width), so I don’t think this would have helped in my case.
