[Plugin:NextGen gallery] gallery thumbnail without grouping all images on page

    I want to achieve an effect like this –

    Scroll down to the 3 project boxes.

    Only difference is – the thumbnail is not a part of the gallery images itself, and the three galleries on the page should remain separate from each other as having their own slideshow.

    I can use prettyPhoto, Lightbox or Colorbox although the first one and last one are notorious for grouping the images on a page as one.

    I also tried to use the inline API of prettyPhoto by calling $.prettyphoto.open on click. However, it is either too complex or nearly impossible to call the NextGen gallery by its php function from within the onClick event.

    How can I achieve this?

  • I am trying to achieve the same thing using prettyphoto and it’s hard to get the answer obviously. Been looking for hours on the net.
