Nextgen Gallery How to use tags?
-
I have searched on the support forum and I’ve noticed that posts dating back to almost 1-2 years ago have not had any resolution on this matter. So I’m starting one again.
I want to show a gallery on a page based on the image tags, so I have used [nggtags gallery=mytag, wordpress,… ], according to the brief tutorial.
The funny thing is some tags work and some do not. For instance, the word “fantasy” does not work in [nggtags gallery=fantasy], as in no images will not appear on the page at all. But when I change the tags in the gallery and rename it to “fantasy-children” and have the code read [nggtags gallery=fantasy-children]. This works which doesn’t make sense. Why didn’t it work for the word “fantasy” in the first place? This has been happening to other tags as well.
It’s a bit of trial and error for it to get it working but I think I’m just not proficient enough in writing tags.
Unfortunately there isn’t any more guidelines that actually teach you how to write tags for the nextgen gallery nggtags. I’m not a code expert but I would think just writing the words out in correct spelling, same case would be make the ngg tags work, right?
Kindly let me know if you can help out. thanks a lot
