NextGen Gallery not working on WP 2.8.4

    help!
    I’m using the most recent version of NGG on the most recent version of WP. I experience the following problems constantly:

    problem one:
    – on a page like “Add Gallery/Image” or “Options”, clicking on the tabs such as
    * Add new gallery
    * Upload a Zip-File
    * Import image folder
    * Upload Images
    does not go to that tab although the anchor shows up in the url such as:
    …/wp-admin/admin.php?page=nggallery-add-gallery#zipupload

    problem two:
    in “Albums”, clicking a gallery from “Select Gallery” to drag elsewhere creates multiple frames beneath said box that are grey and outlined in a dotted line.

    These make this plug in nearly impossible to use. I have experienced these issues even after uninstalling and removing all other plug ins and doing a fresh install of NGGallery.

    Any solutions?

    I upgraded WP to 2.8.5 and still no go… anybody else have this problem?

    It’s working for me.

    I am on 2.8.4. I am having the same issues as Michael Devine. Also, on the site, no image loads. Just a message to ‘Get the Flashplayerto see the Slideshow’. Suggestions?

    i haven’t used the slideshow, myself… but iit’s nice to see i’m not the only once i suppose.

    I am having the same issue. it just stopped working. When I upload images, I get a x where the thumbnail should be. But when I click on it, I do get the full size image. Also, the gallery drag and drop feature stopped working. I can not drag my galleries into my album any more. It has become unusable for no apparent reason.

    so no luck… plug in developer? anyone?

    Still no solution from anyone?

    I did figure out one workaround, that if I click one of the tabs in Add Gallery/Image, and then do a reload of the page it does work. Usable for now, but not ideal.

    I’m having similar problems with WP 2.8.6. I can’t upload any new pics, albums, etc. Thumbnails don’t work either. No one seems to know how to fix this problem.

    I run my family’s website, which is mostly a photo album. So now all work on the site has come to a stop.

    SlideShow funtion seams to have a bug. On the code apears

    I too am having this problem..

    it seems to be related to the java script that makes the tabs work.

    The gallery dropdown in the admin menu on the lower left wont collapse when you’ve got the feature “Add Gallery / Images” Or “Options” selected.

    In each of these menus, none of the tabs work for me, and the gallery dropdown in the left sidebar wont collapse.

    Ok. i found a whacky workaround to this..

    if you right click on the tab link then click open in new tab or window, you’ll get the menu, and upload can happen.

    It seems to be a hack however.. and would be good to hear from the developer

    yes, more recent WP versions, it all works… so since 2.8.4 is old… we’ll all move on…
