NextGen Gallery Only one photo displayed in dashboard

I have just put a website online which I built locally and used NextGen Gallery plugin to make a page with staff pictures but when I want to delete a photo (which I could do easily on localhost by going to the plugin ticking a box next to the photo and pressing delete) it only shows 1 photo from the folder the photos are in. I’ve tried making a new gallery and the problem occurs again and I have no idea why. I’ve even tried bypassing the interface and just deleting the image file in the folder via FTP but it remains.
