NextGEN Gallery: Open viewer directly from Album page?

When on a album page in NextGEN gallery, it there some way to open the viewer by choosing the Gallery icon and skip going to the actual gallery page?

I have a set of 2 image galleries collected in an album. I’d prefer to just have Thickbox open when the gallery icon is chosen rather than switching to the two thumbnail page for that gallery THEN opening Thickbox by selecting the thumbnail. Essentially, I want to skip the Gallery page and open the gallery directly from the Album.
