• I am using the awesome nextgen gallery plugin, but am frustrated by the fact that when I have different length descriptions, the photos wrap in a funny way so that there aren’t always the same # of photos per line.

here’s an example that may or may not show it depending on how wide your resolution is: https://cxmagazine.com/worlds-day-2-slideshow

I’d like to know if there’s a way to fix the layout so that there are always the same # of photos per line, and the descriptions all fit, even if there is extra space below the short ones.

Any help is appreciated. I suspect it’s a CSS thing?

anyone able to advise on this NEXT GEN gallery layout question?

I think this is a problem of Description. If it is too long, the thumbnail beneath is moved to the right. I think it is possible to turn off this in code, but then the thumbnail will be covered with text.

You’re right. I’m hoping that the layout can be smart enough to add enough space so that the longest description dictates the layout, so that each image will have enough space below to accommodate the longest description so that there’s no funky wrapping? I’m hoping that is possible. Anyway to do that with css? some change?

I also wonder if it’s possible to fix the number of columns so that regardless of browser/monitor resolution it’s constrained to a # of columns? that way it’d be easier to fix the layout too.

    thanks for any help.
