Kudos on the Tabs. Love them. Super easy – and FAST – to set up, looks great on desktop and mobile. Our friends (including experienced developers) have all said the new website look is super user friendly and looks very cool on mobile and desktop.

I’ve tried to use the wysiwig editor to insert NextGen galleries into the tabs, did not work. So, just pasted in [nggallery id=”118″], as if adding to a WP page.

For example, the thumbnails on https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/pebble-beach/treehouse/ load up just fine. However…when a photo is clicked on, the page errors out on load. Probably because it is loading as:

    https://coastestate.net/pebble-beach-the-treehouse-on-shepherds-knoll
    /nggallery/image/730

it seems the Tab title, “Pebble Beach: The Treehouse on Shepherds Knoll” is being inserted and overwriting the linking scheme.

Any ideas how to work around this?

Since this thread received no response in a weeks time, I decided to experiment with purchasing Tabs Pro.

That was disappointing. Neither the “Add Media” nor the Add Gallery functions work in the WYSISWYG editor.

AS I noted in the first two posts, when I try to insert a NextGen photo gallery using the wysiwig editor, nothing happens.

I tried setting up the gallery in the editor as Basic Thumbnails and Slideshow. When I click the “Insert Gallery” button, nothing happens. No code is inserted.

So I inserted the gallery using the NextGen standard; [nggallery id=”118″]

The thumbnails on https://coastestate.net/vacation-rentals/pebble-beach/treehouse/ load up just fine. However…when a photo is clicked on, the page errors out on load. Probably because it is loading as:

Is there a different way to write the Gallery into the tab, that will prevent the erroneous link to the larger image?

P.S. The same thing occurs in Tabs Pro.

The wysiwig editor “Insert Gallery” function fails and the image loads from clicking on the thumbnail as:

    https://coastestate.net/pebble-beach-the-treehouse-on-shepherds-knoll
    /nggallery/image/730

Two months later this issue remains unresolved.

However, I see others are experiencing issues with Shortcodes from other plugins.

I’m sensing that the NextGenGallery shortcodes are my issue as well.

My two cents, if you’re going to use shortcodes on your pages, this might not be the plugin for you.
