nextgen-gallery use the widget to show 1 image in the sidebar

  • Hi,

    I would like to show a gallery in the text and html widget in the sidebar. I created a nextgen-gallery ‘latest book’ which has only 1 image. testlink

    I use the code [nggallery id=2] for this but it doesn’t work. It only shows the code and not the gallery..
    Which code do I have to show the gallery in a text widget in the sidebar?

    I could use the nextgen slideshow widget, but I don’t want a slideshow.

    I am a newbie in html, so the problem lies here.. Still hope that someone can help,

  • Shortcodes are not expanded in the text widget. There is a NextGEN Widget (not the NextGEN Slideshow) that you can use to show a single image from a selected gallery.

    which nextgen widget are you thinking about?

    I am using NextGEN 1.4.3. In the widgets panel, I have NextGEN Slideshow and also NextGEN Widget. The tagline for the NextGEN Widget says ‘Add recent or random images from the galleries’.
