NextGEN Gallery won't upload images

    I have several WordPress installations. NextGEN Gallery works fine on two others but on one it starts to upload images to a new gallery then quits with no uploads. The image library has no problems. I can use NextGEN gallery to upload exactly the same images into another WordPress installation using the same browser, originating folder, etc. Also the Import Folder method doesn’t give me a list of folders to chose from.

    Here’s a clue. If I use the old version of the plugin NextCellent Gallery the upload of files works. Deactivating NextCellent and activating NextGEN Gallery it recognizes the gallery. However, when I try to insert the gallery into a page I get this error.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen() in /homepages/9/d284427230/htdocs/wp2/wp-includes/admin-bar.php on line 486

    As a work-around I can do the upload and gallery/album/page-linking using NextCellent Gallery an older version of NextGen. The results are not usable. However, deactivating/activating to NextGen Gallery then all work well.

    Well it was a very stupid mistake. It won’t work with Permalinks set to default. Problem Solved!!

    What do you mean about the Permalinks setting? What should it be set to?

    Permalinks should be set to Post Name.
