• I’m using NextGEN in combination with Autofocus Pro. I’ve been looking everywhere to see if there is a way to add photos to the NextGEN Gallery using a file browsing method rather than haphazardly importing all the files at a particular file path.

Because what ends up happening is that NextGEN imports all the thumbnails that Autofocus generates and then I have to move them out to another location before importing or as I accidentally did the first time was delete them from the gallery, which deleted from the server.

So I wish there was a way to 1) browse the server/media library and select only the files I want to bring into the gallery and 2) unlink files from the gallery without deleting them.

  • What source are your originals coming from? Aperture? iPhoto? Picasa? I am struggling with the opposite workflow – all my galleries are IN NGG and I need to transfer them to WP’s native gallery to get them all into Autofocus+Pro and play nice with that theme, which is something I really don’t want to have to do!

    Any news on this?

I understand you are all looking for some kind of workaround regarding the integration of NextGen and Autofocus. Personally i am still hoping to find a way to have my images managed solely by NextGen.

In order to achieve just that i am basically looking for a solution that would enable autofocus to work with the post thumbnail when selected by NextGen rather than the native Media Library. Since when i select a post thumbnail in the NextGen Library autofocs would only use the thmbnail rather than the correctly sized and cropped image. While when the post thmbnail is selected from the (native) media library autofocus would show the correct image on the home screen as well as on the single post site.

Along the way I would also like to find a way to show vertical images in the width of the content div.

BTW: i am using Autofocus+ pro and NextGen in the latest version.

Thanks a lot in advance for any hints pointing in direction of the solution i am looking for.

    Marco
