NextGEN not loading images since WordPress 4.1.2 update

I’m also having this same issue with WP 4.2. Unable to add new gallery or add to existing galleries. I have disabled all plugins except NexGEN Gallery, and even tried switching my theme to TwentyThirteen. NO GO. Ideas anyone?

Can you share with us what the outcome of that was? Also a link to your site is often useful for identifying where the problem may lie.

Yes I have followed all the instructions excpet deleting and reinstalling the plugin. I cannot delete it because i have thousands of images in the gallery folders and seriously cannot afford to risk losing the months of work. I cannot see any other way other than to quit wordpress and transfer to different site builder. This is absurd. It was working perfectly fine last week!

@johansborman – Under Plugins > Installed Plugins, using the deactivate and delete functionality is very similar to the WordPress plugin update process, you will not lose the images and galleries you are already uploaded and created.

Once you have deleted NextGEN Gallery you should be able to easily go under Plugins > Add New … Search (for NextGEN Gallery) and re-isntall and re-activate the plugin.

As you can see from this post it has been more than a month and still this issue is not resolved. can someone please advise?
