NextGEN Prestige Theme Trouble

    I’m having trouble with NextGEN Gallery in Prestige theme. It’s worked flawlessly before, but now thumbnails are the wrong shape (should be square) and size. And the slideshow/lightbox doesn’t work (only simple image boxes appear when clicking on thumbnails). No navigation to additional images as has appeared /worked previously.

    The same problem occurs with 2.0.7 and when rolled back to 1.9.12.

    I have run through your first three suggestions (to no avail) before posting this thread.

    NextGEN is up to date: 2.0.40

    – What version of NextGEN Gallery did you upgrade from? Not sure.

    – MySQL up to date (at least 5.2.4)?
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated?
    – PHP Safe Mode OFF?
    The 3 above are CONFIRMED

    – PHP up to date (at least 5.0)?
    No, the host says their highest setting for any package is 5.1

    Hosted with 1&1
    Theme: Prestige Light
    – Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery?
    Yes. It persists.
