Nextgen slideshow huge data

    Hi

    Slideshow Nextgen in my Home page is loading the full original image (1,5 to 2,5 MB for each) so my webpage has reach the 42 MB and cleary is not good (before the update to the new version wp 3.8.1 all works well).
    I don’t understand why the Slideshow doesn’t load the thumbnail instead the original.

    I’m using the latest version of Nextgen (2.0.57).

    Anyone has the same issue, or how can I fix it?

    @dt1 – I would recommend optimizing your images to a smaller size as the NextGEN Gallery Slideshow will always load the “original” images from the gallery you are using … and then depending on your Slideshow settings the image may be re-sized again (via HTML).

    You can re-size your images under Gallery > Manage Galleries … check the box for the gallery you want to edit and then select the “Resize iamges” option under Bulk Actions and click Apply.
