NGFB Conflicts with Social Locker
-
Having issues and conflicts between these two plugins. I have a coupon page at https://www.jassgraphix.com/coupons I have recently updated the NGFB to pro so I could disable the social images since the Social Locker displays its own. However disabling the NGFB on the particular page did not fix the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You’ve set the Maximum Images to 0 in the Social Settings for that page?
js.
I am not sure what you are referring too? This social lock plugin worked fine until I added the NGFB plugin. I only have two options to share on the social lock. Twitter and FB, the Twitter link works. Please advise?
Thank youEdit the https://www.jassgraphix.com/coupons page, and in the Social Settings metabox, set Maximum Images to 0, that way NGFB will not add any images to the header for that page.
Though I don’t understand why you would do that, since there are no og:image meta tags aside from NGFB’s.

I have made that change and still having the same results. Can you verify and advise. Thank you again
NGFB is no longer adding an image to the meta tags, so you’re good.

Locker is still not functioning properly. Twitter is working but Facebook is not. Please advise
You asked how to disable social images for https://www.jassgraphix.com/coupons, which is what we just did.
Is there another issue? Is the problem apparent on https://www.jassgraphix.com/coupons, or just when you share it on Facebook or Twitter? Does the Facebook debugger show the problem?
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jassgraphix.com%2Fcoupons
Right now it reports that og:image is missing, since this is what you just disabled in the Social Settings metabox.
js.
The problem is still on https://www.jassgraphix.com/coupons
The locker does not work with NGFB. I originally posted for support asking how to hide NGFB “social images” fb, twitter, etc since the Social Locker displays its own social images. I paid and upgraded the NGFB to pro with hopes that may resolve the conflict by just disabling NGFB on that particular page. However disabling it, does not fix the issue. Also, the steps you just advised me did not resolve the issue. Once again the issue at hand is the social locker does nothing when you click on FB. It functions properly when you click on twitter. Have you tried it?
Please advise
NGFB does two things — It provides meta tags that crawlers from social websites use (this is the core functionality), and optionally you can enable sharing buttons. You asked to disable the social images, which is what we did. The Facebook debugger validates this by saying that the og:image meta tag is missing (it was in fact disabled when you set Maximum Images to 0 in the metabox).
From your continued insistence that social images are still a problem, I’m left with the impression that you’re speaking of something else. Could you explain exactly what the problem is? Precisely? With URLs, etc.? I’d like to make sure we’re talking about the same thing.

Forgive my lack of correct verbiage and insistence. I will try to clarify in this post. Before I installed NGFB my Social Locker worked correctly.
With the NGFB installed, my social locker does not work correctly. The twitter unlock does, the FB unlock does not….My original post I stated that I upgraded to pro so I could disable the “social images” …. To correct that I upgraded to pro so I could disable the “sharing buttons” for that coupon page. This did not fix the issue tho. At this point I am unsure of what to do other than uninstall the NGFB since my locker worked previously.
I appreciate your help and dedication in resolving this conflict as the NGFB is the culprit considering my locker worked before I installed it.
I am new to wp so forgive my lack of intelligence. Just trying to get this fixed without losing NGFB as I love its features. Please advise
Have you tried disabling the Content Filter as suggested here?

I just checked my coupon page and all is functioning properly. I am assuming the FB and or wp cache had to clear before the changes you instructed me to change went into effect. However, now that hopefully you understand my issue, when I set the social image, none is shown. As I do understand we disabled that earlier. What is your advice at this point. I do need the social image to show that I specify……
I’ve still no idea what the problem is.
As I said, an og:image meta tag is rather essential – by setting the Maximum Images to 0, you’ve removed all images from the NGFB meta tags. Set that value again to 1 if you’d like to manage the image used by Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
js.
As bad as I hate to say this, this whole ordeal could be on my lack of knowledge and integration. I went back and set the social image to 1, rechecked the social locker and its still working. At this point it could have been working properly all along before I even contacted you. Forgive me if that’s the case but I do want to rate you as 5 star support. Can you provide me proper links for that?
Thank you again. All is well smh!
No problem. ??
A review would be great. ?? Here’s the link: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/nextgen-facebook#postform
Thanks,
