    I have been having some issue with ngg recently, the latest is that when I try to go to the “news” page of my website, instead of being greeted by a page showing posts in the news category, I am greeted with a blank page. On inspection the code on the page is this: <!– ngg_resource_manager_marker –> <div style=”display:none”>
    </div>

    now, this page doesn’t use any next gen galleries etc so I have absolutely no idea what this is about, or why this plugin insists on invading bits of the site where it doesn’t need to be…

    If i’d known how many hours I’d have to waste trying to fix problems that this plugin has caused I wouldn’t have bothered with it, seems like every week there’s a new thing which kills a bit of our website.

    oh, thanks Cais, that’s great – I’ll just take my website offline and wait in the hope that the next update fixes this problem!
    although, if recent history is anything to go by the update will no doubt break some other part of my website, but i’m sure that it won’t be anything to do with the next gen plugin, it will be the other plugins that haven’t changed!!

    @barireid – I’m glad you have a sense of humor about all of this; and, in your case, it may simply be best to not use NextGEN Gallery for the time being.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

    Once I have found an alternative I will most definitely not be using the NextGen Gallery at any point for any site, it’s just far to buggy to use.
    It’s fine to be told not to use the plugin “for the time being” but my website is a collection of images of my work so not having a gallery plugin operational is a big problem, it makes part of the site pointless.
    Wasting hours trying to figure out how this plugin has broken the page with the next new update is not really a pastime I enjoy – maybe you could give me a job for a couple of days after every release?
