• Hi, I love UpDraft and use it on most of my client sites. One problem I encounter frequently is an error message I get when trying to access a backup file to download it – NGINX Bad Gateway. What does this mean and is there any way to get around it? Does it mean there is something wrong with the file, or that UpDraft can’t find it? Thanks so much for explaining…

    Hi,

It’s an issue with the configuration either of your webserver, or a proxy used by your ISP. You can work around it by using FTP to get the backup out of your wp-content/updraft directory (or, if you’re sending the backups to remote storage, e.g. Dropbox, then get them directly from there, e.g. visit https://www.dropbox.com).

    Best wishes,
    David
