• I have been looking for a new WP manager. I am leaving ManageWP and have tested iControlWP, InfiniteWP, CMScommander.

I like iControlWP the best. Easy to use interface with robust features.

But I am not using their service because the only backup system available is their own. This is fine… it seems like a good system, but they then charge for storage (sure there is free storage to a point, but if you go over it, then they hit your for $30).

I have 30 sites and there is no way my backups are going to fit within the free storage limits. This makes their service economically impossible for me.

If they offered to backup to my own cloud (googledrive) I would pick iControlWP hands down. But being forced (and charged) to use their storage is a deal breaker.

I recommend this for small developers who don’t have a lot of clients or who have other backup options.

Meanwhile I will continue my serve for the next WP manager.

  • Well, you might like the latest changes. They’ve switched to unlimited backup storage, although be it at the costs of the number of backups that are kept (now at 10, divided over daily, weekly and monthly backups).
