• It works generally fine, but it has 2 major flaws:

    1. You cannot exclude pages with defined character strings in their URL. We use it for customers with thousands of pages and products. The popup window is necessary for hundreds of pages, but not for the other thousands. Including hundreds of pages manually is far too inefficient.

It would be perfect as soon as it can exclude custom character strings in the URLs of pages and products, such as “shop” or “abc”, “xyz” etc.

    2. As it seems to be on the highest z-index on top of the website it prevents the cookie notice to be clickable.

Consider this as a feature request. As soon as this really important feature isn’t missing any longer, it’s a 5 star rating.

@jgastmann – Might be helpful to check out our Advanced Targeting extension which includes conditions for all sorts of url matching, including query args: https://docs.wppopupmaker.com/article/239-advanced-targeting-conditions-url-conditions.

In your case you could use the negative (!) condition button along with a url condition to exclude them, or maybe check out the Is Ancestor conditions for pages which let you target all pages that are ancestors of a specific page.

    Hope that helps.

@jgastmann – Any chance you’d consider updating your rating based on notes above that we do in fact offer that feature?

My rating concerns the free version within the www.ads-software.com plugin directory. As far as I understand you this feature is only available in a pro version.

I don’t understand your advice “In your case you could use the negative (!) condition button along with a url condition to exclude them, or maybe check out the Is Ancestor conditions for pages which let you target all pages that are ancestors of a specific page.”

Searching in the setting of the free version of the free version of the plugin I couldn’t find these conditions/options.

Please let me and other users know how exactly the free version can exclude character strings. In my case it’s about excluding all pages that include the character string “shop”.

As soon as I know how to exclude pages with defined character strings I will rate the free version with 5 stars. Unil then this is an important weakness.

@danieliser Meanwhile I found the solution that works. How can I change the rating to 5 stars?
