Nice enhancement to TEC

There is a method of adding additional text colors.

The desire is for no setting, rather than adding new colors. I will certainly suggest forking the plugin if the end-users have more needs beyond the basics.

For anyone else, I undid TECCC’s override by adding a new “No Change” option like this:

function mytheme_teccc() {
	teccc_add_text_color( __( 'No Change' , 'mytheme' ), '' );
}
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'mytheme_teccc' );

So, in essence, you added a text variable instead of a color hash.

Do you use this in combination with a border or a background? There is an option to “Hide” a category from all coloring via this plugin.

Now I have a better idea of why you wanted this. Especially if the answer to the above question is yes.

Take a look at the develop branch and see if it solves this for you. I added a choice of 'Default' => 'inherit' so it should show color:inherit;

“inherit” is not a good choice, because that is still an override. I just don’t want TECCC doing anything to the text color.

Would setting it to “initial” work as you expect?

No, that is still an override and is effectively equivalent to “black”.

OK, let me see what else I can try.

Let’s try this attempt. Update to latest version on the ‘develop’ branch. I have now removed the CSS color tag from the generated CSS if the color selection is ‘Default’.
