nice! how about backup to nextcloud / webDAV ?

To save a backup to nextcloud user may use FTP as destination. As path you need to enter for e.g, nextcloud/data/username/files/foldername and all backup files will be stored in nextcloud.

But now there are few problems on nextcloud side. Nextcloud doesn’t sync the backup files in your dashboard. A user of nextcloud wouldn’t realize if there is a new backup file or not. Also when using the nextcloud desktop app. Nextcloud realize files uploaded by users who are using nextcloud only.

If nextcloud would realize & sync all files in your folder this issue could be fixed. Maybe nextcloud has some setting for user folder sync.

there is a “-scan” function in nextcloud, for admin puposes, but it’s absolutely not designed that way.

a fix would be if BackWPup add’s support for WebDAV as backup destination ??
