Nice idea, but too buggy to be useful
-
I spent the time getting to know this plugin (free version). It’s actually a very nice and lightweight e-commerce tool. You can add items, punch in the photo, add a description, price, local/international shipping price, and more. The items are automatically going to be listed on a page of your choice (via shortcode). It’s very easy to use tool, which is important for my client.
The problem with this plugin is that it’s buggy. I just tried checking out… and it doesn’t work – I stay on the same page. The author is blaming the problem on javascript interference from themes… but I’m using WordPress’ twentyeleven theme. In web design, you’re supposed to make sure the critical areas are always accessible. The fact that the checkout doesn’t work makes this plugin effectively useless.
I was going to give this plugin 1 star, but the concept behind it and the author’s very friendly user interface makes me bump it up to 2 stars. Needs a lot of work before it can be considered usable.
