Nice service, thoughtful design, affordable, could be leaner

  • I was having such a big problem with sign up spam before I tried this service, and it’s 100% gone now. Well worth the very low cost. I like that it is pretty fully configurable. And that they’ve thought of a lot of the complexities of catching spam across many entry points on a site.

    I wish the system was lighter though. Cleantalk adds a massive number of autoloaded data; loads on every single page of my site; and is a pretty big component of page generation time. Right now experimenting with restricting it to signup form only, to see if that helps the rest of the site.

    All well-known issues affecting website load should be fixed in the latest versions of the plugin. Please, make sure, if you’re using the current version 5.159.9.
