Nice theme, but too complicated

  • This is a nice theme, but it is way too complicated to use. Look at the longevity support page. Just to make your site look the way it does in the demo, you have to do all of these complicated work-arounds. Why are those options not in the theme customization area? Every question, the author responds, I am planning to write a tutorial… Yet, weeks pass with no tutorials. The tutorial site that they set up has only basic information that is pretty self-explanatory. Additionally, why is the header image that is used in the demo not a part of the theme? I have found this to be true with other themes and it is very frustrating to me.

    I can understand your frustration and I probably could have done more with the setup tutorials for the theme. One in particular is how to create a front page like the demo site….and yes, I take full responsibility of not getting the tutorials written right away when I said I would before. However, I’m going to start writing them up today, especially with some new features and changes to Longevity version 1.1.6 that I just uploaded.

    I’m curious though, which options would you like to see added? Feedback from the end-user is what makes things better.
