    Hello!
I thought I’d use nimble builder with my customizr theme.
But, when I leave my default theme (I dont want the nimble theme), and then choose a ‘module’ in ‘content picker’, it appears OK during the editing.

When I publish or save as draft (I’v published), it appears without any of extra edits such as padding, centering, borders, margins.

I have tried this with the current subscribe form you will see beneath the slider. Not centring.

I had previously tried this with a button too – never centered despite my attempts.

    what is going on?
Does Nimble builder only work if set to ‘nimble theme’ for front page?

I thought that was not the point!
    thanks in advance!

If this is for nimble forum, let me know. I never know where to put this!

    ~ Jenny

    Hello @jennycurls,
Thank you for reporting this issue.
It seems that the Nimble stylesheet is not properly saved when you publish your customizations. That’s why you don’t see all your styling like margins, centering, …

This is not something I can reproduce on my end.

A possible reason could be that one of your other active plugins is in conflict with Nimble. Would you mind deactivating all your plugins but Nimble, and see if it solves the problem?
Then reactivate the plugins one by one and test at each step to identify the one in conflict.

In your next reply, would you mind copying and pasting your system informations ? You’ll find them in your WP administration, in plugins > system infos.

About where to post your request, you can use the Nimble forum next time.

    Thanks !

    Hello Nicolas,

    thank you for fast response.

    1. I deactivated all plugins. Does not seem to solve the problem. (By the way, I would assume that deactivating plugins will not reset them – that is, I will not have to input all the settings again, right?)

    2. I added some new text and sign up form and other simple customisations with Nimble for the front page, and once I Save As Draft, the changes do not appear.
While working on it, in live preview, I see the changes OK, but once saved, nothing.

    3. Here is Systems Information for you.
I hope you can help me with this! Thanks in advance,
    Best,
    Jenny

I was wondering if anyone else would have a problems with Nimble builder. It seemed to stop working for us when we installed the new gutenberg plugin. If I’m way off here, please ignore this. Just thoght it might be a clue.

    Hello @awesome0,
I can’t reproduce the gutenberg problem on my end. Would you mind opening a new topic on the Nimble forum about this ? https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/nimble-builder

    Thanks !

Thanks for your detailed reply @jennycurls.

    1. Yes that’s correct, deactivating your plugins won’t reset your plugin options. If it does, then contact the plugin author because this is a bug !

    2. The customizations made with the Nimble builder should be displayed when you hit the Publish button. If you Save As Draft, you won’t see your sections in your live site, that’s normal.

    3. Everythings looks fine on your system infos.

    Here’s a screencast to illustrate what I wrote in 2. : https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cFX1lcYN97

    Does it help ?
    Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. You should be able to style the heading module and center it.

Can you confirm that when all other plugins are disabled ( including the Swift Performance Lite early loader), you are able to center the text of your “Welcome” heading module on home ? Or you can’t center “Welcome” in any case ?

    Thank you

    Hi Nicolas,

I have disabled all plugins except Nimble, and home header is centred and in gold as I wanted, once Published.

Then, when I reactivate the Swift Performance Lite plugin, it reverted back to the unchanged: that is, the header is black and not centred and wrong.

I isolated also Cloudflare and Woocommerce plugin separately each (with only Nimble activated) just to see if they also conflict, and they so far seem to be fine- ie: the text is centred and gold colour..

    So, is the culprit Swift?

    What can I do now?
    thanks in advance!!!

OK thank you very much for the analysis.
Yes, Swift seem to be in conflict with Nimble. We are analyzing the problem on our end and will let you know if we can fix the problem or if this is something to be fixed on Swift side.
For now, and until we find a solution, if Swift is not vital for your site, I would recommend to deactivate it.
    Thanks

    Hi Nicolas,

Ok. The speed of my site and caching is vital yes, and I find Swift much better than, say W3 Total Cache…
With Swift disabled now, it is not as fast.
I will use W3 total Cache + Cloudflare and hopefully it’s fast.

I just remembered that I had issues with Swift Performance Lite plugin, and that I had to manually cache each page. When ‘viewing source’ on my site’s page in chrome, I could not see any sign of Caching. Not sure if this information may suggest that my configurations were not perfect, and that could have caused conflict. I am not sure as Swift support has not gotten back to me. Hopefully it helps to determine if it’s nimble or swift.

Anyway, once you find a solution, I hope to find out asap!!

Thank you very much for your attention and help. Much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,
    Jenny

    HI Nicolas,

So, the problem continues, but with a slight difference.

I deactivated Swift as it seemed to cause Conflict.
So, instead I activated W3 Total Cache as an alternative cache plugin.
The rest of the plugins are the same. All activated. And Cloudflare linked in Extensions with W3 Total Cache.

In Appearance, I made some changes to the white heading text in the slider only and changed the square images below the slider on home page.

Published, and the text on slider does not appear, nor did the square images! Cleared cache a few times to be sure. cleared Browser too.. Changes not published.

So, then, this time, instead of deactivating them all, I just deactivated W3 Total Cache.
Published, and voila – changes made and looks fine.

Could it be that there’s some conflict with Nimble and Caching plugins????

I need Caching plugins for the speed of my site. Integral for an ecommerce site.
    What to do…..
Might need to forget centred headings etc and have nimble with limitations. ??

Hope this gives you some information and helps troubleshooting.

    Kind Regards,
    Jenny

Yes it does help us a lot thank you.
We are currently actively working on it. Because yes I agree, performance is key, and the plugin should be fully compatible with cache plugins.
    Thanks

    Hi Nicolas,

I have gone ahead and activated Swift performance Lite together with keeping Nimble builder activated.

And now it seems fine. This is what I did differently:

I modified some of Swift’s configurations. This time I enabled Appcache for Desktop and for Mobile in it’s Cache settings.
Not sure if that was what changed things, but the site and Nimble seems OK now. Headings centred, images Ok. (thus far…!)

Hope that bit of info helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Jenny

Hi. Yes it definitely helps. @d4z_c0nf and I are currently actively discussing this matter to understand how to prevent it in the future.
One thing to have in mind with cache plugins, as a general rule, is that it’s always safer to disable them when developing or customizing the website. And then activating them only when things are stabilized.
Thank you very much for all your feedbacks.

    (@jennycurls)

    You’re welcome!
Good to know about when customising a website, to disable the Cache plugins first. Great advice.

Having said all this, as you mentioned earlier, could be the Cache plugins, not nimble!

    All the best.
